
Celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary celebrations of Kilbehenny Community Centre got under way on Easter Sunday with an Easter egg hunt.
Fine weather ensured a large crowd of children and their parents for an event that got everyone out of the house and allowed participants stretch their legs.
The setting was the grounds of Galtee Castle Wood close to King’s Yard. Youngsters were given a series of challenges to complete before returning to their starting point. Once back at base, they were presented with their reward – an Easter egg; in several instances, the first of many such rewards that came their way via Godparents, grandparents, relatives, neighbours and friends.
