Combined funding of €6 million has been announced for the construction of two new local fire stations, with €3 million apiece being allocated towards new-build facilities in both Mitchelstown and Tallow.
Announced on Tuesday, the plan – the most extensive fire station redevelopment plan in the State’s history – aims to strengthen fire and emergency services nationwide. A landmark €328.5 million was announced under the recent Fire Services Capital Programme, as priority projects for the 2027-2030 programme.
