Management and staff at Batavia in Fermoy are looking forward to their 25th Christmas. Back in 1999 husband and wife team, Majella and Noel O’Regan from Kilworth, took the plunge by opening the doors of a specialist furniture store on Rathealy Road. Their plan was to ship high quality furniture from Indonesia and offer a unique range of products to locals.

Establishing itself in the formative years, thanks to the efforts of the O’Regans and their staff, the ‘Batavia’ brand was built up, the product range expanded and new markets secured.

Part and parcel of the ‘Batavia’ experience has been a pre-Christmas customer evening and this eagerly anticipated event took place last Friday. Customers past and present turned out in force to lend their support to the 25th anniversary celebrations.
