100+ high-skill jobs for Cork over the next 3 years

The recruitment of roles is already underway for a market-leading industrial technology company which this week opened a Global Digital Centre of Excellence in Penrose Dock, Cork, a move which is expected to create over 100 highly skilled jobs in the area over the next three years.

Acuity Inc. is a market-leading industrial technology company which uses technology to solve problems in spaces, light and more things to come. Through their two business segments – Acuity Brands Lighting (ABL) and Acuity Intelligent Spaces (AIS) – the company design, manufacture and bring to market products and services that make a valuable difference in people’s lives.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the company develops innovative new products and services, including lighting, lighting controls, building management solutions, and an audio, video and control platform, with the Cork operation actively recruiting for roles including software engineers, data and AI engineers, product managers, architects and management.

Cork Chamber welcomed the announcement, saying it represented ‘a strong endorsement of the region’s reputation as an important hub for innovation and talent’.

The project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
