Up to 70 students using public transport from Watergrasshill for school in Fermoy

As many as 70 second-level students from Watergrasshill and surrounds are now travelling to school in Fermoy by public transport.

Each morning, the bus stop in Watergrasshill sees a host of students waiting to board with their Leap Cards to travel to school due to the lack of a school bus travelling the route.

Local councillor, Sheila O’Callaghan has said that the situation is ‘a serious mess’, explaining that parents are now paying extra for Leap Cards to ensure that their child has a means of transport to their school of choice.
