Resembling a meadow, the green area located between Heather Way and Barry’s Court in Fermoy is long overdue a cut.
Clement Geaney, who has resided in the area for around 20 years now, has said that the green is ‘a joke’ adding that organisations who undertake grass cutting locally, including the council, are not taking responsibility for the area.
On Friday, July 18, The Avondhu visited the site where some sections appeared to have been cut leaving the shorter parts dry and rough, however a large portion reaching waist-high remained uncut, somewhat resembling a field ready for silage.
