Top country stars are Fermoy bound

McCARTHY INSURANCE GROUP SUPPORTING FERMOY GAA: Fermoy GAA are delighted to have local company, McCarthy Insurance Group, on board as the main sponsor of its forthcoming 'Fermoy Goes Country' music festival. One of the region’s biggest outdoor country and Irish music festivals, ‘Fermoy Goes Country’, takes place in Fitzgerald Park, Fermoy (Fermoy GAA pitch) on Sunday, 14th August from 1pm to 7pm. 

TOP ACTS SECURED

Mike Denver, fresh from his sell out show in Kildorrery will perform, along with the very popular Cliona Hagan and her band. Original ‘Southern Boy’, Robert Mizzell will also feature, as will the multi talented Ciaran Rosney.

FULL STEAM AHEAD

In association with main sponsor, McCarthy Insurance Group and media partner, The Avondhu, a big promotional push is underway in advance of the forthcoming festival. This week, McCarthy Insurance Group representatives, Charles McCarthy and Paul Kavanagh, presented a sponsorship cheque to Fermoy GAA’s Tom O’Brien, Tommy O’Brien Sr. and Pat O’Brien.

According to Paul Kavanagh, this event has the potential to attract country and Irish fans from all over Ireland. “This genre is increasing in popularity all the time and I’m sure Fermoy GAA will leave no stone unturned in their efforts to make the festival a resounding success,” he said.
