Top 10 finish for Bergin on Olympic debut

Fermoy Rowing Club member and Kildinan local, Alison Bergin, closes out the 2024 Olympics with her head held high as she and her rowing partner, Zoe Hyde, secured a top 10 finish at the Olympic Games.

On Thursday last, the duo took to the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium to compete in the Women’s Double Sculls B final finishing with a time of 6.55.62.

Facing up against some of the greatest in the world, Alison and Zoe placed fourth in the B final, coming in behind Australia, Czech Republic and the USA, but ahead of Italy and China.
