
Three Ministers of State visited Tallow during the past week to view the progress of the restoration works at the Church of the Immaculate Conception and to discuss future opportunities for the next phases of the ambitious restoration project.
The visiting ministers were Mary Butler TD, Christopher O’Sullivan TD and John Cummins TD, who met with members of the Tallow Church Renovation Committee, together with Harry Bent of dhbArchitects, who outlined the progress achieved to date, the funding secured, and the restoration plans for 2027 and 2028.
Also attending the meeting was Ms Mona Hallinan, Architectural Conservation Advisor with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
