
A former FBI Special Agent with local connections, has shared some of his life stories with The Avondhu while on a trip to Ireland.
Neil Moran, whose grandmother, Margaret O’Brien, hailed from Killavullen, was born and raised in New York and spent 26 years serving in the FBI. Now retired, Mr Moran has put pen to paper, launching his debut book ‘Stories’ in December last year, in which he details his grandmother’s tale of emigration, his own personal stories growing up in the Bronx, tales from his career as an FBI agent and later, investigating fraud, before retiring and volunteering at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum.
Working from New York his entire career, Mr Moran has been a part of some key investigations, some of which are now significant historical events and elements of major film plots.
