Just minutes into the New Year, a local baby boy was among the first newborns in 2023.
Born to parents Katerina Olejnikova and Frantisek Olenik, from Tallow, baby boy Frantisek was born at just 12.06am on January 1 at Cork University Maternity Hospital.
Frantisek is understood to be the first baby confirmed born in Munster in the new year.
