Over 250 vehicles assembled in Castlelyons last Monday morning to take part in the inaugural Tom Leahy Memorial Tractor & Car Run.

Organised by Tom’s family and friends, the event was a spectacular success.

Speaking to The Avondhu, Tom’s brother, Michael, said the fundraiser had surpassed all expectations.

“We had a fine dry day with tractors and cars coming from far and wide, we were hoping for a good turn out, but didn’t expect that kind of a crowd,” he said.
