
Members of Lismore Town Association hosted a very successful summer street festival last Sunday. The town’s main thoroughfare was closed off, allowing the public to visit stalls, listen to live music and avail of family entertainment. Many of Lismore’s businesses were open and there was a carnival atmosphere for the duration of the afternoon.
Members of Lismore Foroige were also involved and organisers are grateful to them for their considerable input. It was an occasion all ages enjoyed, with proceeds going towards the Bank of Ireland Building Revitalisation Project.
A selection of singers and musicians performed on stage, they were joined by legendary Waterford showman, ‘Mad Mike’. Mike said he was delighted to be part of what he described as ‘a wonderful day out’.
