Solutions sought for town’s ‘serious’ traffic problem

Several suggestions have been made on ways to remedy Fermoy’s ongoing issue with traffic congestion, but no solutions have yet been offered by those with the ability to improve the situation.

As reported in The Avondhu last week, Cllr O’Leary sought a feasibility study be carried out at the Northern Divisional Committee meeting to see what could be done about congestion in the town – currently the ‘biggest issue’ being raised with him by constituents.

The proposed works at the Christ Church junction were also discussed, with concerns that these works may further impact on congestion by the removal of traffic lanes.
