There's good news on the double for Scoil Mhuire National School in Ballyhooly, with the sanctioning of two large scale infrastructural projects.
School principal, Rory Gibbons, fellow teachers, the board of management and parents' assocation have all welcomed the announcements. Under the direction of contractor, Joe Buckley Construction, it's proposed to make the school, structurally more accessible to all.
Works will include installation of two raised platforms with ramp access in addition to a platform lift, building a new WC/shower room, along with the replacement of exterior and interior doors.
All going to schedule, these improvements will be completed by the end of the school year…
