The southbound lanes on the M8 Dublin – Cork Road were closed between Glanmire Junction 8 and N8/ N25 (J19) at approximately 3pm today (Wednesday, November 14th) due to a serious collision.
Diversions through Glanmire were put in place.
Crews from all emergency services were present.
Gardaí are urging motorists to use alternative routes.
