Taking pride in your area is something that everyone should do and the second round of the Mitchelstown Enhancement Awards show that people are doing just that.

Three areas got exactly the same points as the previous round, while ten areas went down in points and four saw their points increase.

The highest points in the first round went to Ashfield Manor, Kingston College and Lower George’s Street, while the second round saw Lower George’s Street, Kingston College and Ballinwillin Close take the top three places.

The next round of judging will take place in the coming weeks and people should pay particular attention to litter, weeds, planting, paintwork, colours and overall appearance if they want to see their points increase.
