Lands leased to the FAI for the development of a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the Brooklodge area of Glanmire are now to be sublet to Riverstown Football Club.
According to Cork County Council officials, the entire site will be sublet to Riverstown FC who will develop a portion of the site and will have control over the entire site, with the condition that they would work with other community organisations, quantifying the remainder of it for community games.
In a response issued to members of the Cobh Municipal District on foot of a motion, Cork County Council confirmed that plans are in place to develop the lands in conjunction with the local club.
