The Kits For Kids initiative promoted by Riordan’s SuperValu, Fermoy was once again a great success.
On Friday evening last, representatives from Fermoy, Kilworth and Araglin juvenile GAA clubs were present to accept a large quantity of training kit (gear bags, training tops, footballs, sliotars, cone markers and water bottles).
Manager, Colm Donnellan, said Riordan’s SuperValu, Fermoy were delighted to be associated with a scheme that supported local juvenile GAA clubs and in the process encouraged young people to become more active.
Kilworth were represented by: John and Killian Heggtveit along with Dave, Darragh and Rory Gill – the Fermoy contingent consisted of: Bosco and Cormac Roche and Adam Flynn. The individual who accepted the kit on behalf of Araglin Juvenile GAA was John Martin Browne (former player, qualified first aider and the treasurer of the adult club).
Special guest was Ballyclough club man and Cork inter county football star, Colm O’Neill. Colm said the scheme was an excellent one and he wished the winners every success for the future.
