New Year’s Eve celebrations took place throughout The Avondhu catchment. We got a flavour of proceedings when we dropped into a number of local entertainment venues.
A predominantly young crowd were present in Cheers Bar, Fermoy, all looking great and in top form.
Proprietor, Paul McNulty said, ‘things had been very busy over Christmas’ and he thanked customers for their ongoing loyalty. ‘Cheers’ is one of only a handful of pubs that have music all year round. Deuces Wild, The Fogues, Hell For Leather, Route 66 and The Buachaills, all took to the stage over Christmas.
