Go-ahead given for 61 acre solar farm

Permission has been granted by Cork County Council for a 61 acre solar farm site near White’s Cross in Cork, consisting of 330,200 square metres of ground-mounted panels.

The substation will be connected to the Kilbarry substation in Blackpool in Cork City and permission is sought for 10 years, and for an operational period of 40 years. 

Permission was granted for the development at Monard, to Harmony Solar Cork Limited, shortly before Christmas with 40 conditions attached.
