Bartlemy Parish Hall is being reroofed – work is advancing well and it shouldn’t be too long before this important community facility is secure and weather proof once again.

Funds need to be raised to defray costs associated with the project – as a result locals are organising a tractor run (vintage and modern) on Sunday next, 18th September at 11.30am.

All vehicles are asked to assemble at Patrick ‘Patsy’ O’Connell’s farm in Ballinwillin, Bartlemy – this will also be the finishing point for the 26km run.

The response to the fundraiser has been very encouraging and hopes are high that substantial numbers will gather in Ballinwillin on Sunday morning. Registration is €20 per vehicle and valid insurance is required. Organisers are grateful to An Garda Siochana for assisting them with their plans.

There will be plenty of tea and sandwiches when drivers return. It promises to be a very enjoyable occasion so if you have a road worthy tractor, get it cranked up and join the convoy.

Anyone seeking further information on any aspect of the run is welcome to contact Patsy on 086-8885251 or Tom on 086-1035419.
