Retirement of Judge Terence Finn after 27 years on the bench

Mitchelstown native Judge Terence Finn retired on Friday 4th June after hearing his last case in Youghal District Court, after a 27-year career on the bench.

Judge Finn, who worked as a solicitor for 23 years before becoming a judge, was appointed to the bench in February 1992. 

He was a moveable judge, before being appointed Judge of District 21 in 2005, which includes the district courts in Lismore, Youghal, Dungarvan, Clonmel, Cashel and Carrick On Suir.

Valerie Lynch, Manager of the Mallow and Youghal Courts Office, described Judge Finn as a conscientious man, highly regarded and extremely committed to local communities.
