Racquetball players from across The Avondhu readership area saw great success in the German city of Hamburg over the weekend, as they took part in the 2025 German Open.
Players from Araglin, Fermoy and Mitchelstown Racquetball Clubs – joined by players from Kilkenny and Wicklow – racked up an impressive medal count. Altogether, 16 players travelled to the event, including six junior players – two boys and four girls.
Bernadette O’Callaghan, who travelled and played with the team – and whose son Conor was also a competitor – said that it was a fantastic event.
