Private bins located on Connolly Street in Fermoy are currently ‘under investigation’ according to a Cork County Council spokesperson.
Several private bins remain located in a flowerbed area located directly across from the library in the town.
Recently, concerns were raised regarding the number of bins situated in the area, which at the time were noted to be ‘gradually increasing’ and ‘taking over’ the area.
While it is now understood that the number has since decreased, multiple bins remain in the flowerbed area.
According to a Cork County Council spokesperson: “The private bins located on Connolly Street are currently under investigation by Cork County Council, the outcome of the investigation will determine what course of action is required if any.”
