Plays aplenty entertain in Burncourt

Ambitious to a fault, Burncourt Drama Group undertook a trio of plays over two nights on Friday and Saturday last. This south Tipperary-based group have an excellent track record when it comes to ‘packing them in’ and this feat was replicated once again last weekend.

First up was an offering by Barbara Handrick ‘If I Can’t Take It With Me, I’m Not Going To Go’ which for the youthful members of the cast, it was an exciting opportunity and they made the most of it.

It’s always a good idea to send out a couple of old hands and Siobhan Hurley (Joyce) and Breeda Quinlan (Madge) got things going in no uncertain terms. Not that this was a straightforward undertaking.
