Planning permission has been approved for 48 housing units in Mitchelstown, in what is likely to be the first large-scale development granted the go-ahead in many years that is not reliant on works to the wastewater treatment system.
The application was made by Cork Co-Operative Marts Limited.
The development allows for the existing sheds to be demolished and 48 houses and apartments built in their stead.
