Parents keep pressure on as pupils still without school transport

Parents of children attending Scoil Bhríde in Rathcormac are continuing their efforts to secure seats on the school bus for their children this year, however, there has been no response from the Minister or relevant Department, despite recent coverage on the matter.

Recently, The Avondhu reported on several children being affected, who had been informed that they would not be issued bus tickets this year as there was ‘no space’ on the school bus.

This week, a parent from the Kildinan area, Evelyn Murphy said that there is no update yet on the situation for the seven families and 11 affected children, however, they are continuing to push the matter in the hopes of seeking a solution this year.
