Funding of €4,547,340 has been allocated towards the ongoing refurbishment and extension of the Community Nursing Unit at St Patrick’s Community Hospital in Fermoy, HSE South West has confirmed.
News of the allocation comes following the publication of the HSE Capital Plan 2026 earlier this week. Under the plan, Fermoy Community Hospital is noted as being in the ‘construction’ stage of the refurbishment and extension.
The Avondhu requested details from the HSE outlining what the funding will be put towards, and whether it has been allocated for new works, or works already complete/under construction, however detail of same was not issued by time of going to print.
