Almost one year ago The Avondhu reported that the management of O’Connell Park in Mitchelstown was a deed accomplished, as it was formally signed over to the three trustees.
The next step was that a board was to be formally set up to oversee the management of the park. This, however, has not happened.
While the news of the trusteeship was announced at a Community Council AGM last May, it was made very clear that the park is not in the control of the community council.
