IDA Ireland have reported a total of 234 investments in 2024 which will lead to the creation of 13,500 jobs over the next few years, however, their site on the Dublin Road in Fermoy remains stagnant.
The report on its annual performance for the past 12 months cited 69 green field or first-time investments. However, news this week in relation to the unoccupied site in Fermoy stated that while the agency ‘remains committed’ to its continued promotion, there have been no ‘formal applications’.
IDA Ireland, which has responsibility for attracting and retaining foreign direct investment into Ireland, announced its annual performance for 2024 last month.
