Mairéad and Joe Flynn from Mulberry in Mitchelstown, welcomed their little daughter Bláthnaid into the world at 16 minutes past midnight on New Year’s Day.
Both would like to pay tribute to the excellent care Mairéad received throughout her pregnancy locally and in CUMH.
Bláthnaid is a sister for Ultan aged three and a half.
Mairéad was not due until 11th January and they did not know whether it was a girl or a boy so it was a wonderful surprise, they said, to welcome her into the world at the beginning of a new year.
