Munster Council CEO and Araglin native, Kieran Leddy, officially opened the new Astroturf facility in Ballyduff Community Field last Friday evening.
Addressing those in attendance, prior to cutting the ribbon and unveiling a plaque, Kieran said he was delighted to be associated with such an impressive project. Reared so close to the Waterford border, Mr Leddy said he always admired the community spirit and progressive approach of those in Ballyduff.
“I would know the Hickeys, from across the valley, well, and great credit is due to Fergal (Hickey) for spearheading this important project. I’ve no doubt it will be a great asset to users of the community field, which is always very well maintained,” he said.
