Making it to the highest points of each of the 32 counties in Ireland is a challenge that seasoned hill walkers often set for themselves, but it is not as common to see a nine-year-old from Kildorrery taking on the mammoth task with gusto.
Dillon Lynch is just nine-years-old, is in second class in Kildorrery NS and aims to have climbed to the highest point in each county across the country before he turns eleven.
As some counties share a highest point, this will mean climbing to 27 points over the course of the two years.
Not only has he set himself this huge challenge, but he will also be raising funds for Kildorrery Karate Club and Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services (CDYS) – two clubs close to his own heart.
