Cappoquin’s Jayson Molumby has signed on loan to Championship side Preston North End from Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 21-year old midfielder has signed until the end of the season with permission to play in the upcoming Emirates FA Cup if selected.
The former Cappoquin Railway Football Club member said that it was an easy decision to join fellow Republic of Ireland team-mates Alan Browne and Sean Maguire at Preston, having spoken with the manager, Alex Neil.
“Seanie and Alan speak very highly of the club and then the gaffer spoke to me and was the same and, in the end, I just wanted to get it done and I am really excited to get going and I just want to play some games and help the team,” Molumby said.
