A Mitchelstown school has initiated Covid-19 protocols as one of their student’s tested positive for the virus in recent days.
Once Presentation Secondary School was informed earlier this week that a pupil had contracted the coronavirus, the school immediately initiated protocols designed to stop the spread and have sought to reassure students and parents.
“We were informed by the HSE on Tuesday evening of a confirmed case of Covid-19 among one of our students. A public health risk assessment has been undertaken by the HSE and the parents of any child deemed to be a close contact have been advised accordingly,” a spokeswoman said.
