A group of women from The Active Retirement Group in Michelstown will feature in next Wednesday’s episode of 'Doctors On Call', the health and wellness show on RTE television.

The researchers and cameras were in town in September and again earlier this month and filmed the group at the LivingHealth Clinic and the Town Hall.

A team of doctors and health professionals tackle different issues each week and give advice on the latest methods and gadgets, and also the best ways to reform to a healthier lifestyle.

Lead singer of Royseven, Paul Walsh is heading up the community challenge each week. 11 women from the Active Retirement Group, also known as the Ozanam Retirement Group were given a 6 week challenge to see if they could change their thoughts on fears of ageing.

The group were given different social activities to take part in over the six weeks such as cards, exercises to aid suppleness, using Facebook for the first time, line dancing and painting to name a few.

Her road test was massively successful with the women of Mitchelstown, so tune in on Tuesday night at 8.30pm!
