Mazda is delighted to announce that it is the official automotive partner of the inaugural Thrive Festival, a fitness, wellness and food event taking place in The Convention Centre Dublin on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March between 8.30am – 7pm.
The partnership is a perfect fit for Mazda who believes in an ancient Japanese ideology of Ensō, a sacred symbol in the Zen school of Buddhism. The two Kanji symbols that make up the word, ensō, mean enlightenment and connectedness, the feeling you get when everything comes together just perfectly.
This health & wellness concept of living an enlightened, balanced and complete life is also considered and applied to all aspects during the design process of every Mazda vehicle.
It is because of this importance placed on the Ensō way of living that Mazda Ireland has decided to partner with the 2019 Thrive Festival.
The exciting line-up of talent and health and wellness experts appearing at the Thrive Festival will be led by Gemma Atkinson, well known TV actor and Strictly Come Dancing finalist.
Gemma will be appearing on Saturday and will take to the Thrive Signature Stage, driven by Mazda to offer her expertise and everyday tips on leading a more balanced, healthier lifestyle.
The conversation with Gemma will be hosted by Ireland’s own dancing starlet and health & wellness fanatic, Anna Geary and promises to be an engaging and insightful debate on modern living.
On the Sunday, junior doctor, best-selling author and personal trainer, Dr Hazel Wallace – The Food Medic will take to the main signature stage. Returning home from the UK, Hazel will be offering festival goers her, no-nonsense food, nutrition and fitness advice.
Mazda will also be complementing the festival with an immersive Ensō experience at the event, which will feature a Mazda Zen garden, offering a tranquil space for attendees to come together, relax and unwind with a traditional Japanese tea experience and complimentary shiatsu style massage. They can also experience Mazda’s Ensō inspired SUV’s, the Mazda CX-3 & CX-5.
Commenting on the sponsorship of the Thrive Festival, Avril Brophy, Senior Marketing & PR Manager at Mazda Ireland said: “We are very much looking forward to the Thrive Festival this year. Because of our Japanese heritage and our unwavering belief in the Ensō way of life, we feel this is the right partnership for Mazda and that is why we are lending our full support to this brand-new health and wellness event.
Avril Bannerton, Thrive Festival Managing Director also welcomed Mazda’s involvement with the festival this year: “We are delighted to have Mazda on board this year,” he said. “They are the perfect fit for the Thrive Signature Stage, given the prominent role that health and wellness plays in their Japanese heritage. We’re bringing together some of the biggest names in the health, fitness and wellness industries for the inaugural year of Thrive Festival at the Convention Centre Dublin and our star-studded line-up of Gemma Atkinson, Anna Geary & Dr Hazel Wallace promises to be one of the highlights of the whole weekend.”
Thrive Festival is set to transform the national convention centre with exclusive boutique workouts from KOBOX, Ballet Beautiful, POUND, Crossfit, F45, yoga, Pilates and Barre to name a few! There will also be cookery demos, mindfulness, Chakra health and reflexology classes, and so much more!
