Araglin winning the County final last weekend only helped to raise the excitement another notch to fever pitch ahead of a host of nail-biting encounters on this weekend’s sporting calendar.
While the Cork/Limerick All-Ireland final clash may be top of the bill, all eyes in the Mitchelstown area will be on the Bon Secours intermediate A 2020 football championship final between the local club and Rockchapel in Mallow on Saturday night at 8pm.
We wish them the best of luck in their quest for county honours.
Down East Cork way, our redership there will be interested in the outcome of the intermediate hurling clash between Russell Rovers and Castlemartyr on Saturday afternoon.
Rebel supporters will also be cheering on the minor hurlers and footballers in their respective All-Ireland championship games.
Croke Park on Sunday afternoon will see arealm dogfight netween neighbours Cork and Limerick – Cork vying to bring Liam MacCarthy back to Leeside, Limerick doing their utmost to keep him Shannonside for another twelve months.
What an encounter it promises to be. May the best team win.
See this week’s Print & Digital Edition for special features ahead of the games.
