Glanworth has seen a major increase of dumping and littering in recent times. While household waste was found dumped around the recycling area such as clothes and a Moses basket, empty bottles were found up around the castle.
Community Council chairperson, Helena Kennerley, spoke to The Avondhu to confirm the situation.
“The last few months with lockdown, it’s been just ridiculous,” she said.
According to Helena, this is an ongoing issue that has become worse since the Covid-19 lockdown.
