Mai Rafferty made the brave decision to start a Montessori school in Killavullen 36 years ago.
From modest beginnings, the school went on to establish itself as a centre of creative excellence for pre-schoolers.
On Wednesday, June 27, the school closed following Mai's formal retirement.
An emotional day for all concerned, Mai is keen to publicly acknowledge the many parents whose unwavering support ensured the success of the school.
