The 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) takes place in Glasgow from 31st October to November 12th, and representing the anger of the people on the inaction of government policy on climate action is Mitchelstown activist, Amy O’Brien.
Ms O’Brien, a student of Presentation Secondary School, is not shy about demanding accountability and action, and yesterday travelled to Glasgow with Friends of the Earth, a not-for-profit grassroots organisation that has been in existence for 50 years.
Amy spoke to The Avondhu about why vocal protest and action are necessary in the face of political inaction.
