Liz Downes, a community champion from Mitchelstown and member of their Healthy Towns committee, was a guest speaker last Friday in Cork City Hall at the ‘Mix Your Mode’ seminar, an initiative run by the Transport and Mobility Forum Cork (TMF).
Liz spoke about Mitchelstown’s Community Walkability Audit and the great work that they are doing to bring Active Travel to the town.
As vice chairperson of the older peoples council in Mitchelstown, Liz is a member of the Age Friendly Alliance executive committee of Cork County Council along with local Councillor Kay Dawson, representing Mitchelstown as an Age Friendly Town.
