A defiant community has hit out after thieves broke into the Knockadea Community and Sports Club before stealing a bingo machine, photocopier, printer, amplification system and petrol strimmers.
The people of Knockadea village said the burglary was a major setback and described the theft as ‘a blow to the spirit of the community’.
One local said that whoever broke into the premises knew exactly what was in there and didn’t hang around. “
They had local knowledge, there’s no doubt about it …”
