Kildorrery National School had two reasons to celebrate on Tuesday last – the raising of their fifth green flag and the official opening of their new €346,000 extension.

A large crowd assembled in the school yard to participate in such a special day when the new education rooms, one new classroom and a universal access toilet (UAT) facility were officially unveiled.

In her address, Kildorrery NS principal Rachel Kelly, said it was an honour to welcome Bishop William Crean, special guests, families, past pupils, friends, board members, parents, staff and children of Kildorrery to the school.
