Many may have seen Casey’s freckled face and floppy ears over the past week as her owners put out appeals for their missing dog.
The ten-year-old King Charles cross went missing from her home in Duntaheen, Fermoy on the night of New Year’s Eve after being spooked by fireworks in the Fermoy area.
Casey’s disappearance was shared widely online and locally as posters went up across the town of Fermoy and surrounds, with reports of the dog last being seen in the Glenabo woods area.
Her valiant rescue on Monday, however, saw Casey reunited with her owners following a narrow escape.
