Interesting statistics for Mitchelstown

A community socio economic planning workshop took place in Mitchelstown Enterprise Centre on Wednesday, February 20.

MC for the event was Liam O’Doherty with professional planners, Paul O’Raw and Niall Heenan presenting a range of CSO data.

This showed that the town’s population increased 1.7% from 2011 to 2016.

Other figures revealed that Mitchelstown has a high rate of home ownership, that at 10%, the number of lone parents is relatively high …
