Inspirational youths complete ’67 Challenge’ and cold-water dips

December proved to be a busy month in Glanworth, as local fundraisers of all ages came together to support important causes close to their hearts.

The inspirational 11-year-old, Zoe Gallagher, completed a heartfelt challenge in memory of both her grandfather – Willie O’Dwyer, or Goga B as he was affectionately known – and her neighbour Fionn O’Connell, to help raise funds for Michael’s Fan Club, while Ballindangan local, Diarmuid O’Brien, braved December’s icy waters for mental health awareness. And on top of this, the traditional Christmas morning swim took place, organised by Bill McAuliffe with the help of the local Glanworth 105th Scouts.
