DirectRoute (Fermoy) Ltd recorded operating profits of more than €145,000 per week in 2016, up slightly on 2015, while revenues for the company fell marginally to €315,000 per week.
Accounts from DirectRoute this month show revenues fell from €16.7 million in 2015 to €16.4 million last year.
Their annual operating profit from €7.53 million to €7.58 million between 2015 and 2016.
There was an increase in toll income last year; rising almost one million to €12.89 million. Operational payments fells by €1.1 million to €3.5 million.
The company said traffic levels grew faster than anticipated in 2016 and further increases are expected ‘as motorists continue to recognise the benefits of the motorway’.
The road opened in October 2006 through a public private partnership.
