Illuminating weekend at Galtee Gaels GAA

Galtee Gaels celebrated the official opening of their walkway last weekend at John O’Mahony Park, with a mega celebratory weekend that included special guests Limerick manager John Kiely and Patrick O’Donovan TD, along with the Liam MacCarthy Cup.

To kick off Saturday evening’s events, piper Dan Cronin led the Liam MacCarthy Cup on to the pitch, where it was received by Liam Allen and Vivienne Cleary, two people representing the breadth of Galtee Gaels’ membership.

With them was local man Andy Breedy, a member of the successful Limerick Masters team that last month defeated Armagh in the the final (2-14 to 1-13) in Roscommon, who brought along the All-Ireland Masters Cup.
